Taper Offset Spacing – John Sturm – Printable Taper Offset Spacing Spreadsheet
John Sturm gave his presentation of his Excel Taper Offset Spacing spreadsheet developed as a printable ruler at the 5th annual Southeast Region Rod Building Workshop, hosted by American Tackle. The ruler once printed can be used to mark your cross points for an accurate thread wrap as the rod tapers. See a screenshot below:
John has developed this spreadsheet to measure in millimeters. By changing the millimeter numbers in the yellow field(s), the ruler (cell spacing in the spreadsheet) accurately spaces itself so all you have to do is mark your wrap area.
This is a Macro enabled spreadsheet, this means you must be able to enable macros in Excel when you open the file for it to work. The spreadsheet also includes instruction for use, if you have problems, please let us know and will try to solve the issue.
