CRBG North Central Regional /Park Falls/St Croix Get Together

August 7 - August 9

The Custom Rod Builders Guild and St. Croix Rods

North Central Regional Chapter

August 7,8,9, 2026

The North Central Region will be hosting an annual Get Together in Park Falls, WI on August 7-9th, 2026. Come for a weekend packed with learning and fellowship! We have expanded this year’s class schedule to include a variety of topics from beginner to advanced levels. A bonus event day is offered August 6th in partnership with St. Croix, Build Your Own First Rod (BYOFR) class. This will be a full day class where participants will build their own St. Croix rod under the direction of experienced builders. This is a great opportunity to get your fishing buddy who keeps admiring your custom fishing rod to build their own or plan to spend time with a family member creating a keepsake!
Included with your registration fees: registration folder, name tag, water bottle with custom decal, event journal, Pot Luck dinner Aug 6, St Croix behind the scenes shop tour, access to the St Croix blank and component sale, catered dinner Aug 7, pizza lunch Aug 8, catered dinner Aug 8, and a vast array of classes being offered. Blank sales are expected to take place on both Friday and Saturday dependent upon supply availability.
Your confirmation will be emailed following your registration with dates, times and links to the event locations. A registration packet will be waiting for you at the event.
Please consider bringing a rod for show at this year’s event. We will again have multiple award classes: display only, People’s Choice (youth and adult) and the Tribute Award. Note that only one rod is allowed to be submitted for each the People’s Choice and Tribute Awards. To submit a rod for the Tribute Award, builders will need to submit a writeup no longer than one page on the person(s) that influenced your build. These writeups and rod photos may likely grace the pages of the RodCrafters Journal in the future.
As in years past, we will continue with the raffles to support not only the Guild but also the school which provides our event location. Please consider bringing items to donate to the raffle and purchasing tickets to show your support of the event.
An exciting update for 2026, St. Croix is extending to Guild members attending the event special pricing for select rod blanks. These are NEW unblemished blanks! Two models are offered and can be purchased using the prepaid rod blank in the Shop page. Quantities are limited. We will therefore be limiting blank purchases until July 19th at which time we will remove all restrictions until everything is sold. Additional blemished rod blanks will be available for sale during the event on both Friday and Saturday – details will be included in your welcome email.
A Buy and Sell area will again be set up to provide an opportunity for members to find or sell that elusive item as well as showcase their talents. Your registration packet will list available times.
Although this is a members-only event, those who are not currently a member may use the new Limited Event Only membership and decide later if they want to become regular members with full benefits. Invite your friends and neighbors to attend and see what custom rod building can offer.
